Weinviertel

It is Austria’s biggest and most northern located wine growing area. It can be called “Grüner Veltliner” region, since 52% of this typical Austrian wine is produced there. The soil variety includes loess, loam, prehistoric rock and black earth, on those Grüner Veltliner is the mainly grown wine sort others are Welschriesling, Müller-Thurgau, Weißer Burgunder, Blauer Portugieser and Zweigelt.
