Vienna, capital city of Austria, cultural center, biggest city of Austria and smallest federstate at once. However from its 414.65 square km, 1.7% are wine yards located on the hills in the southeast and the district of Doebling. Their soil is consisting out of slate, gravel, loam and loess. On which the typical Austrian wine sorts Gruener Veltliner, Riesling, Pinot Blanc, Zweigelt and Cabernet Sauvignon are produced mainly for the Heurigen locals located close by.
