Kamptal

(3869 ha , white wine 84%, red wine 16%)

The Kamptal is dominated out of loess and loam but there is also prehistoric rock and lime. It provides a great mixture of good weather (influences from the rivers Danube and Kamp furthermore from the cold winds coming from the Waldviertel), and soil to grow exceptional wines. Grüner Veltliner, Müller-Thurgau, Riesling and Zweigelt are the preferred wines of the area.
